Student Position Controlling Asset Management (20-40%)

For our client in the financial industry, we are looking for student support in Asset Management Controlling, starting immediately and limited until the end of 2025. The workload is 20–40%, and the position is based in Zurich.
Tasks
- Analyzing and defining the end-to-end operational data flow – from client onboarding in the CRM system, through transaction capturing and position monitoring, to fee and billing services, creation of general ledger (GL) bookings, and ultimately management accounting and reporting.
- Mapping and documenting the data model of the product master database, which defines the structure of the investment products.
- Understanding the flows and data dependencies within the investment portfolio management system.
- Analyzing the data model and usage of Salesforce, the CRM system for managing institutional client relationships.
- Supporting the documentation and analysis of the fee & billing system, which calculates monthly fees and manages commission payments to the distribution partners.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Finance, Accounting, Business Informatics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and interest in data flows, financial processes, and systems.
- Experience using AI or Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze business content and assist in creating process and data documentation is a strong plus.
- Experience with Excel, ideally including Power Query.
- Basic to intermediate coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA, MDAX, DAX, … ).
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
